February 2008 - Parsons Safety Work Receives Recognition with CHASE Award
In February of 2003, the Minnesota Department of Labor implemented a major safety initiative called Construction Health and Safety Excellence (CHASE), with the Associated General Contractors of Minnesota and Minnesota OSHA.  Parsons is one of only 12 contractors accepted into this esteemed program.  Last month Parsons accepted our third CHASE Award from the Minnesota AGC and OSHA.  Our dedicated adherence to our safety policies helped us attain this distinction.

The CHASE Minnesota partnership expects to reduce serious injuries, illnesses and fatalities on work sites.  Incentives are provided for contractors who voluntarily participate and demonstrate implementation of effective safety and health programs.

Parsons is proud of our work to keep our employees and job sites safe.  Thank you to all who have gone through extensive training to help us achieve this award.  Our Safety Slogan sums it up well.  “Our Future Begins with Safety.”

January 2008 - Recognition Goes a Long Way
In January, Parsons was recognized with a Patriot Award given to us by the National Guard.  This award is sponsored by the Employee Support for the Guard and Reserve, a federal agency that identifies employers who go above and beyond the call of duty for the men and women Soldiers under their employ.

Soldiers nominate their companies for ESGR awards through a series of questions.  The Patriot Award is the first step of four in a recognition program the ESGR uses to show their thanks to supportive and understanding employers.  It was also requested that Parsons be considered for higher ESGR recognition.  In 2006, Parsons was awarded the “Above and Beyond” Award which is the second level of recognition.

Parsons is proud of our employees who are members of the Guard and Reserve units.  We thank them for their time and dedication both at work and in support of our country.  It is an honor to work with them.
