OPENING REMARKS

Servicing the needs of your facility for its entire life cycle is the focus ofour magazine, The Electrical Connection. It is also our business model.Today, the typical facility includes systems with complex technology andmajor equipment that require service and maintenance. It is common for a businessto have total dependency on its electrical and communication systems forbusiness continuation.

In this issue, we discuss the importance of preventive maintenance for your facility as well as highlight an important cultural icon, the new Walker Art Center. We also provide an in-depth discussion on the importance of behavior when it comes to labor productivity. This topic will continue to be a central issue as we work together to improve perceptions in our industry. Finally, we also discuss safety, which is of great importance due to the higher risk associated with what we do.
