Marathon Petroleum is located on the Mississippi and has a capacity of 70,000 barrels per day. Crude oil from Canada and the United States is processed at the refinery into gasoline, diesel, fuel oil, jet fuel, kerosene, propane and asphalt.

Parsons has an ongoing contract with Marathon and has performed many of Marathon's electrical construction, maintenance and capital projects.
